Ben Wirjo
Ben Wirjo is a drummer from the United States, currently based in Valencia, Spain.
With over 20 years of experience, Ben has developed a dynamic and versatile style that spans jazz, rock, funk, pop, country, and modern fusion, always blending musicality with precision and energy.
Starting at age 7, he was influenced by legends like Joe Morello, Buddy Rich, and Max Roach, later expanding his inspirations to John Bonham, Mitch Mitchell, and Billy Cobham.
After performing in scholastic jazz and symphonic bands, Ben joined competitive drumlines such as Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps and United Percussion, earning recognition as both a DCI World Championship finalist and a WGI Indoor World Championship finalist.
Today, Ben is the drummer for Spanish artist Mikel Izal one of Spain’s most promising pop and indie voices and collaborates with Vincen GarcÃa, , bringing groove, taste, and creativity to both live and studio settings.
