Why Choose Varus Drums?

A custom drum kit should begin with the drummer. At Varus Drums, we combine handcraftsmanship, selected materials and true customization to build an instrument around your sound.

Handcrafted in Spain

Every Varus drum is built in our workshop in Spain using hands-on craftsmanship, technical precision and experience. Building instruments this way allows us to care for the details and maintain control throughout every stage.

Our goal is not to build more drums. It is to build every project better.

Built to Order

Custom drums enter production after we have defined the sizes, materials, configuration and finish with you. We do not start with a generic instrument and adapt it at the end. The project is designed around the person who will play it.

This approach takes time, but it creates a drum kit with a clear purpose from the very beginning.

Wood is not chosen only for its appearance. Each species, shell construction and combination can bring a different response, tone and character.

We select materials according to the series, the drummer’s style, preferred tuning range and primary use. If you are not sure which option is right for you, we will help you evaluate the available choices.

When a project calls for a color finish, it is painted and worked directly onto the shell. We do not use vinyl wraps to imitate the result.

With natural finishes, the grain and character of the wood become part of the design.

In both cases, the goal is depth, feel and a visual presence that belongs to the instrument.

Sizes, number of drums, configuration, woods, finish and selected hardware details can be adapted to each project whenever they are technically feasible.

You can begin with a reference, a sound idea or even an image. Our role is to help turn it into a balanced, coherent drum kit.

Every instrument is inspected during production and receives a final check before it is prepared for shipping. We review the assembly, finish, hardware and overall condition of the kit.

The goal is for your drum kit to arrive ready to represent the quality and character we defined with you.

We work with drummers in Spain, the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico and other international destinations. Shipping is calculated according to the configuration, packaging and destination ZIP code.

Before you confirm the order, we explain the available conditions for your destination. You continue to communicate directly with Varus throughout the entire process.

The Result: A Drum Kit With Its Own Identity

A Varus kit does more than look different. It is built to deliver tone, projection, reliability and character, both live and in the studio.
